Personal Allowance

Children receive a weekly allowance, which is used for personal supplies, activities, laundry and snacks. The amount of the weekly allowance is determined on an annual basis by the Executive Committee.

Adult clients have an opportunity for employment in our workshop or in the community. This provides them with an income for personal supplies and activities. Some adult clients are provided with a monthly personal allowance from SSI payments. The amount of the allowance is determined on an annual basis by the Executive Committee.

All children and adults participate in weekly budget groups. These groups are part of the residential living skills program and are designed to assist each client in learning money management skills.
